If you love a good treasure hunt then you’ll love volunteering at the
Highland Springs Treasure Chest !
The Treasure Chest is our community’s resale/estate sale shop, operated and managed by resident volunteers. Donations are accepted from residents, resident estates, family members, employees, and community members. These donations need to be prepped for sale. Prep days for sale days are often on Wednesdays.
Our volunteers are busy with the donated items by:
Packing or unpacking Washing Testing functions Handling minor repairs
Refitting Arranging for sale display Pricing
Sale days occur 1-2 days a month on Friday afternoons. Volunteers must be ready to:
Stand 2-3 hours Lift 30 pounds Move furniture with help
Remove trash Assist with delivery or pick up
The Treasure Chest is a great way to support our community while getting rid of things no longer wanted or needed. It is very popular with our residents, staff, family members and friends alike. All proceeds from the Treasure Chest support the Resident Care Fund, the Scholarship Fund and or the Staff Appreciation Fund.
Who doesn’t like a good treasure hunt? Doubloons and pieces-of-eight may not be hidden to find, but help us sell the other really cool loot that can be had at the Highland Springs Treasure Chest !
