Editor All of the video taken at community events, activities, etc. needs to be edited before being shown on the HSTV/Channel 80. Assignments to editing are on a scheduled deadline based on projected broadcasting date. Have to have knowledge of editing per the Apple Computer but if interested may be trained. iMoive and DaVinci Resolve software experience a plus. **
Music Coordinator This person is responsible for programming the background music for when the slides are showing. Training is required. No set dates or times. May be done from your apartment. *
Programmer A programmer is really a scheduler. Each week, the scheduler receives a copy of the HSTV Guide for the upcoming week on Thursday or early Friday morning. This person then schedules the shows as indicated by the guide into the broadcast system and HS YouTube videos. *
Slide Creator This volunteer originates the various club/activity slides seen daily on the community television. Training is required. No set dates or times. May be done from your apartment. *
Stage Hand One of the most important pre-production activities is to set the stage where a videographer will be recording or producing a live stream show. This requires an individual who is agile, can move backdrops, desks, chairs, etc. as well as set up audio equipment. Must have the ability to lift 30-40 pounds and stand on their feet. Must be available on a scheduled basis for live streaming show and periodically on call at the last minute. Often at the end of a recording session break down of a stage is needed to set up for the next recording which may be the same day or next day.
Videographer / Photographer This Volunteer activity is for anyone who would like to assist in taking community pictures of events, activities, pre-recorded programs, etc., and knows how to use a digital/movie camera and accustomed to addressing lighting and sound needs. Training may be available for the right flexible volunteer.
* These roles may be done at your computer in your apartment. Solid computer skills required.
** Computer competency essential. Some training can be provided. This volunteer role must be done in the HSTV Studio off the Magnolia Place living room.
